Harold Cheatham's papers span his active career in higher education and public service. They include numerous published writings, some unpublished writings, presentations and speeches, business correspondence, photographs, news clippings and certificates. In addition there are case files and correspondence related to two discrimination suits brought by him in the 1970s.
William B. Johnson, career military man and Clemson alumnus, used expertise and knowledge gained while a cadet in Clemson College's school of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering to become an inventor and vehicle design team specialist while in the Army.
Manny Lawton, Clemson alumnus (class of 1940), author, and lecturer. Served as battalion military advisor with the Philippine Army until Allied forces fell to the Japanese during WWII. Survived the atrocities of Bataan, only to subsequently spend 3 ½ years as a prisoner of war. Lawton's ability and willingness to share his experiences give great insight into the struggles of imprisoned soldiers during wartime.
